Theodore (Ted) David Davis, 80, of Shawnee, Kansas passed away on March 14, 2021.
The son of Hannah and Theodore Davis, Ted was born February 28, 1941, in Scranton, PA. He graduated from Paseo High School in Kansas City, Kansas in 1959. He received a degree in Business from Washington University in Saint Louis. He married Jane Davis on February 11, 1967.
Ted fought in the Army in the Vietnam War from 1966-68. Worked at Western Electric in Saint Louis, Southwestern Bell. He retired from AT&T in 1988 and Sprint in 2010.
Ted loved being with people and had many friends. He was an avid Chiefs and Royals fan, played golf, volunteered at Best Regards, volunteered at Town Village of Leawood Senior Living Facility, and marshalled at Tomahawk Golf Course. He was an active member and ushered at Christ Church Anglican in Overland Park and was a member of the Friday Morning Men’s Bible Study and the Life Bible Study Group.
Ted is survived by his wife of 53 years, Jane, as well as his son Chris and his wife Angie, and his daughter Cindy and her husband Jamie Hennen. He is also survived by his grandchildren Logan Davis and Annie, Bella, and Vivian Hennen; his sister Elizabeth Fitzgerald; and many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his sister Suzanne Koury and his great nephew Sam Koury.
