Richard (Ricky) C. Burgess, 38, of Greenwood, MO. departed this life way too soon on Saturday, April 17th, 2021.

 

Ricky was born on Monday, October 18th, 1982. He attended Lee's Summit High School and loved working in the Food Service Industry. Ricky's greatest pride and joy was his three sons, Isaac, Noah, and Brandon of Blue Springs, MO. They were the love of his life.

 

In addition to the "boys", he is survived by his father, Rick Burgess and his wife Nancy, of Greenwood MO.,;  his mother, Debbie Freemyer and her husband,  Chad of Archie, MO., his siblings, Beth Kitahara and Kevin Burgess, both of Harrisonville, MO., his step-siblings; Brandon Freemyer of Blue Springs, MO., Christina Heimsoth of Greenwood, MO., and Heather Clear and her husband, Aaron of Lee's Summit, MO., two nieces and four nephews.

 

Inurnment will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, May 2, 2021 at Ganzer Cemetery, 9901 View High Drive, Kansas City, MO 64134

This news I've learned to late. If I knew he passed I would have been there. He is very important to me. I wish I could have been there We had a very deep soul connection. After 2 years of high school sweathearts we broke up. We agreed to keep a secret code if we ever needed each other. No questions asked. We've saved each other alot over the years. I wish he would've chose to reach out to me. He is important and a GOOD man.
