James "Jim" Joseph Glow, Age: 73
Sep 12, 1947 - Apr 20, 2021

James “Jim” Joseph Glow was born in Kansas City, MO, on September 12, 1947, and passed away on April 20, 2021.  He is preceded in death by his parents Frank Charles Glow & Eileen Inez (Nuess) Glow of Independence, MO, and his brother Steve Glow of Phoenix, AZ.  Jim is survived by his daughter Michele Glow (Grain Valley) and son Michael Glow and fiancee Heather (New Martinsville, WV); brother Tom Glow & wife Kathy (San Antonio, TX); three grandsons Evan Nadeau, Connor Nadeau, and Jesse Glow; four granddaughters Hannah Rogers, Hailee Johnson, Holly Johnson, and Hannah Ruble; four great grandchildren; his best buddy Dave McDowell; his beloved cat Fondue, and a host of relatives and friends who are too numerous to list.  Jim graduated from East High School in Kansas City, MO in 1965.  After high school, he competed as an amateur golfer in the Kansas City area.  He was discreet about his inventions of an award-winning cinnamon gooseberry pie and his no-hands golf ball retriever.  He was proud of his hole-in-one at #16 at Shirkey Golf Club in Richmond.  He worked as a rental property owner and established wonderful lasting relationships with many tenants.  Jim enjoyed playing golf, long distance running, travel, giving his time to his children and grandchildren, and being the commissioner of his fantasy baseball league.  He had a special affection for spending time at HyVee and building up many rewards points.  Jim was a kind and caring person who was always there for his friends and family.  A Celebration of Life was held in his memory, and the turnout was exceptional.  He will be missed by many.

I only met Jim/ Papa a couple of times. He opened up his home and his heart to my daughter and I will forever be greatful for his hospitality to her. He was a huge influence on the man she loves. What a wonderful legacy he has built in his grandchildren. 💕
