Wayne Edward Shouse, age 68, from Kansas City, KS, passed away peacefully with family and his music playing on April 18, 2021.
He was born in Sacramento, CA and moved to Kansas as a child where he was raised in Kansas City, KS. He traveled state to state playing drums in numerous bands. His love and passion for music led him to meet with various bands like Brooks & Dunn, Toby Keith and many others. He had an infectious personality and never knew a stranger. He always lived in the fast lane and was always the life of the party. He enjoyed camping at the lake with his lake friends, who he considered part of his family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Connie & Wayne Shouse, sister, Brenda Clark and brothers, Ronnie Shouse & Bill Cavanaugh. He is survived by his daughter, Shawna Ruis and husband David Ruis; 2 grandsons, Sage and Devin Ruis; sisters, Karla Rettig, Pam Furrow, Sheila Brown and brother Allen Shouse.
A celebration of life will be held on May 16th at Wyandotte County Lake (Shelter 8) at noon. There will be a light lunch provided after the service.
