January 14, 1935 - July 14, 2021

Lois Trayford, 86, passed away peacefully on Wednesday July 14^th, 2021. She is survived by four children: Michelle Meyer, Michael Trayford, Melinda Trayford, and Marvin (Cheryl) Trayford, four grandchildren: Allison (Mitchell) Manz, Lauren Meyer, Grant (Kathyrn) Meyer, and Blake Meyer, and one great grandchild: Lane Manz.

She is preceded in death by her beloved husband and life partner of 62 years, Ron, as well as her parents, her sister, and one newborn child Martin. Lois truly had a life well-lived. She had many roles in life, but her most important was as a wife and mother. She loved her family and cherished the times spent with them and was affectionately known as “Googoo.” She enjoyed playing boardgames, doing crossword puzzles, traveling, cooking, and especially gardening. Outside of being  a homemaker, she worked at Maritz market research for 10 years and was a bank teller for 5 years. Lois was known by all as being tenacious, hardworking, loyal, and resourceful. She was grateful for all the blessings that God provided in her life.

Lois’ simple faith in God and unwavering love of family were her greatest treasures. Her favorite Bible passage was Psalm 23. She looked forward to being reunited with her husband Ron since his passing in 2014 and we take comfort trusting that they are together again in eternal glory. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends. Until we meet again, dear sweet “Googoo” and beloved mother.

Her visitation will be held at 12pm, with the funeral following at 1pm on Sunday, July 18^th at the Apostolic Christian Church at 301 W Blue Ridge Blvd, KCMO 64145.
