Jack Beaver

January 7, 1943 - August 14, 2021

Jack Beaver was born on January 7th, 1943 to parents Carl and Ella Beaver in Union Township, Butler County, Ohio. He was welcomed into Heaven on August 14th, 2021 after a courageous battle with Lewy Body Dementia. He was a loving son, brother, uncle, husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He was loved by all who met him, and will be deeply missed.

Jack served as the youth director at Bethany Methodist Church from 1964 to 1969.  After, he worked for McKesson and McPike. He ended his career in 2008, working for his favorite employer, McQueary Bros. Drug Company. His work at Bethany Methodist inspired him to continue volunteering with his daughter’s youth group at Rolling Hills Presbyterian, where he and his wife were active members.

In September 1968 he met the love of his life, Betty Jean Kymer. They wed on January 11th, 1969 and spent 52 wonderful years together. They have two very loved daughters, Kristy and Susan.

Jack’s greatest joy was his family, and he could often be found playing with his grandchildren. He was an amazing teacher, and instilled many lessons in his children and grandchildren. He enjoyed playing golf, playing cards, and watching University of Kansas basketball.

Jack is preceded in death by his parents Carl and Ella Beaver, siblings Bill Beaver, Jim Beaver, Margie Haven, Dick Beaver, Nan Atkinson, and twin brother Gene Beaver.

Jack’s memory will be lovingly remembered by his wife Betty Beaver, daughters Kristy (Scott) Angell and Susan (Kenneth) McRae, grandchildren Nick Angell, Rachel McRae, and Jacob McRae, and siblings Rosie Amiot, Terry Beaver, and Carol Babcock, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Jack’s family would like to thank the employees at Garden Terrace Alzheimer’s Center of Excellence for the wonderful care Jack received during his stay there.

Betty and family, I was saddened to read about Jack’s passing. Although I only met him a few times, I remember his quick wit and genuine personality. Alzheimer’s is a terrible disease. May you always remember the love he had for you and all the cherished memories.
