Melody May Davis passed away unexpectedly on November 1, 2021. She was 51 years old. Melody was born on November 26, 1969 in Garden City, KS. She grew up in Garden City, KS, attended Garden City, KS High School, and was currently attending Park University to obtain her Bachelor’s degree in business.
She loved spending time with family and laughing as much as possible. She was known and loved for her organization and management skills and trained and mentored many staff members. Her organizational skills were not limited to her office work. Her home was the pinnacle of neatness. She took so much pride in having everything clean and organized.
Melody possessed a very giving spirit and spent many hours volunteering. Her most recent volunteering was through the Rock of KC where she was on the Food Pantry, Greeting, Usher, and Run to Stop It teams. Through this time she came to know Jesus Christ as her Lord and was baptized at the Rock of KC.
Next to her Daughter, Son, and family, she loved animals more than anything else. Her kids might even argue that her love for their dog Roxy was at the top of her list.
Melody’s laughter, love, and spirit for life remains in this world with her daughter Alexus, her son Chandler and his Finance Reba, her sisters Robin, Rawslin, Janice, Harmony, Michelle, and April, her brothers Ricky and Anthony, her Aunts Florence and Betty, and Maternal Influence Sue Barber, and many cousins, nieces, and nephews. She is preceded in death by her Mother Earlene, Grandmother Dorothy, and Grandfathers Earl and Red, and Uncle William, and Paternal Influence Harold.
A Celebration of Melody’s Life will be held on Saturday November 6th: Visitation 9am – 10am, Service 10am – 11am at the Rock of KC, 12750 N. Winnan Rd., Kansas City, MO 64163
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations be made in Melody’s honor to support her children. Condolence cards are welcome.
