Ronald "Ronnie" Gordon Looney Jr., "Spunky", 49, of Lee's Summit left us, surrounded by his friends and family, on on November 7, 2021.
Ronnie will be lovingly remembered by his mother Wanda Looney of Lee's Summit; three sisters, Rena Putnam, Melissa Looney, and Brandy Looney; Nephew Tyler Looney; Nieces Tristan Blocher, Shelby Crawford, Hayley Cox, Kelsey Harold, Maddylyn Harold, and Alexis Yori; nine great nieces and nephews; and many family members and close friends - whom loved him dearly.
Ronnie was predeceased by his father, and namesake, Ronald Gordon Looney, Sr. of Lee's Summit.
Ronnie, better known to his kin as Spunky or Hook, was born on May 15, 1972. He loved to go fishing, especially with his friend Scottie. He also enjoyed riding and tinkering with dirt bikes. His nephew, and nieces, will remember him fondly for teaching them to ride their bikes without training wheels or to tie their shoes, and his playful pinches he gave out freely with his prosthetic arm adorn with a "hook".
A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00pm, on Saturday, November 27, 2021 at the VFW Jack Ray Post 5789, 329 SE Douglas St, Lee's Summit, MO 64063.
Although, the family's main focus is to celebrate the happier moments of Spunky's life, it would be a disservice to his memory not to acknowledge his long time struggle with addiction. In the hopes of raising substance abuse awareness, reducing stigma, and saving lives; the family asks that as an expression of sympathy, memorial contributions be sent to University Health Foundation via their website
