Thomas Carl Gotsch, Age: 84

On Sunday, Nov. 14, 2021 Thomas Carl Gotsch, 84 years old of Odessa, MO quietly passed away from Covid complications at St. Luke’s East in Lee’s Summit, MO.

A celebration of life will be held at his daughter’s home outside of Bates City, MO on Saturday, Nov. 20th from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. There will be a bond fire and gathering of family and friends to reflect on Tom’s life. For more information feel free to contact Sheri at (816) 690-8394.

Tom was born in 1937 and for most of his life worked in heavy construction as a job superintendent. After retiring, he went to work in the maintenance department for the Odessa School District. Tom was married and devoted to Mary Gotsch when he was only 19 years old and lived with her until her death earlier this year.  Tom loved hunting, fishing and spending time with his family.

Tom is survived by his son, Tom Gotsch II and wife, Theresa of Hawk Point, MO., daughter, Sheri Dillon and husband, Emory of Bates City, MO., sisters, Jeanine West and husband, Roland of Odessa MO, Karen Reese of Jonesburg, MO., grandchildren, Preston Dillon and wife Heather of Blue Springs, MO., Melissa Carron and husband Christopher of Dardenne Prairie, MO, Kirk Dillon of Springfield MO, Cheyenne Moore and husband Salem of Oakdale, CA and Chance Gotsch of Columbia MO, Great Grandchildren, Layla Moore and Jameson Moore of Oakdale CA and, Shelby Carron and Seth Carron of Dardenne Prairie, MO.

Tom was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Louise (Admire) Gotsch, sisters Marian Gotsch and Joyce Hardesty, one brother Irwin Gotsch Sr., and his parents Irwin and Grace Gotsch.

Tom will be deeply missed by his family, friends and neighbors.  Rest in peace!
