Howard Marshall Bunnell, Age: 83
Oct 06, 1938 - Jan 13, 2022

Howard Marshall Bunnell, 83, died January 13, 2022, at home in Kansas City, Missouri, surrounded by his family.

Howard was born to Harold Pattison Bunnell and Ada Janette Marshall Bunnell at his parent’s home near Windsor, Missouri. After graduating from Windsor High School, he moved to Kansas City. Howard’s love of people and selling led him to form a commission sales organization with his wife and life partner, Suzanne. Howard Bunnell and Associates eventually opened a showroom in the Kansas City Gift Mart and hired representatives to sell while Howard concentrated on the Lake of the Ozarks and Branson areas. Over many years, he developed deep relationships with his customers who became his friends. Howard’s life passions were his family, fishing, reading, traveling, country music and laughter.

Survivors include Suzanne, his wife of 53 years, daughter Amy Bunnell Hearst, son-in-law Matthew Clark Hearst, two grandchildren Nathan Howard Hearst and Elizabeth (Libby) Del Hearst. Other survivors are his sister, Margaret and her husband Steve Binnard. He also leaves his brother-in-law Wayne Walker and his wife Diane plus nephews and nieces.

Howard met his diagnosis of Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis with acceptance, courage and determination. The family thanks Crossroads Hospice and Palliative Care for their caregiving. A Celebration of Life is planned for a later time. Memorial gifts may be made to North Oak Christian Church, 9900 N. Oak Trafficway, Kansas City, MO 64155, www.nocckc.org where Howard was a founding member.
