Christine K Jones passed away April 24,2022. She was born September 13, 1947 in Kansas City Mo.

 

She graduated in 1969 from the University of Saint Mary in Leavenworth KS with a bachelor's degree in Art.

Chris retired from Sprint International where her job consisted in traveling the world, which she enjoyed and made lifelong friends. Chris was the daughter of Josephine A. Jones ( Belser) and Ike F. Jones She was the eldest of 7 children. In addition to her parents she was Predeceased by a sister Debra G. Jones.

 

Chris is survived by; Alan Jones and wife Shirley, Brian Jones, Dr. Randall Jones, Douglas Jones, Beth Jimenez and husband Pedro, and many loving nieces and nephews.

A service of remembrance will be held 12:30 pm Tuesday May 3rd at the Lee's Summit Historical Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers she requested any donations made to the Aspca. Chris will be greatly missed by all!

Dealing with SPRINTs transoceanic cables was a job for a very smart and strong person. Chris fit that bill to a T. I will miss her.

I worked with Chris in the mid 80’s into early 90’s and again in 2001 to 2008 at Sprint’s International dept. What a gem. When I arrived in KC she was doing ‘Road Rally’s’ that were so interesting to me - a mix of Missouri history & brain teasers. I won last place in my 1st Chris rally. What a sweet woman.
