Lawrence Dean Eighme (Dean) 83, passed away, April 30, 2022 in Overland Park, KS.
He was born in Tingley, Iowa, to Franklin and Vera Eighme (Priest) on September 25, 1938.
Dean was a member of The United Methodist Church of the Resurrection in Leawood, KS. He enjoyed his family, golf, hunting, fishing, snow skiing and was a Lionel train collector. His career with Massey Ferguson/AGCO Corporation spanned over 49 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents Franklin and Vera Eighme, brother Kenneth Eighme and brother-in-law Larry Turbot.
Dean is survived by his wife Virginia Eighme (Mosby) of Overland Park, KS, daughter Connie Oberle and husband Scott of McKinney, TX, son Larry Eighme and wife Gretchen of Overland Park, KS; grandchildren Lyndsey Girramita (Joe) of McKinney, TX, Lance Eighme (Sarah) of Ashburnham, MA, Lauren Brighton (Emily) of Lawrence, KS; great-grandchildren Wesley and Laylah Girramita, Ethan and Josie Eighme, Edwin and Louis Brighton; sister Ellen Turbot of Omaha, NE, brother Frank Eighme (Marilyn) of Arispe, IA, and other loving extended family.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00am Saturday, May 7th at Tingley Cemetery, Tingley, IA. A luncheon will follow at the Tingley Community Center.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial is established with the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
