Frank LeRoy Bronson
Jul 13, 1941 - Apr 26, 2022

Frank L. Bronson passed away peacefully in his home on April 26, 2022 after several highs and lows in his 4-year battle with cancer. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Judy; two sons, Lee and Phillip; sister Debbie, and two grandchildren, Andrew and Marisa.

Frank was born in Kansas City, Mo., to Frank and Wilma Bronson on July 13, 1941. He graduated from Van Horn High School in 1959. He entered the Navy after high school and as an Aviation Structural Hydraulics Mechanic, where he worked in the fighter squadron VF21, and worked on Aircraft Carriers.  After leaving the navy, he met and married Judy Anne Sanders on November 27,1963.

He worked as a diesel mechanic at KCP&L for 38 years before retiring in 2001. Frank enjoyed traveling with his wife in their RV, tending to his garden, working on cars in his spare time, participating in BBQ local competitions, and having a beer with his KCP&L Buddies.

Frank was a loving and faithful husband who was hardworking and dedicated himself to provide for his family. Whether it was a football game or a choir concert, Frank never missed any of his grandchildren’s events.

A celebration of life will be held at a later time to commemorate him. The family would like to thank everyone for their condolences.
