Paul Ben Lindsey, 73, of Claycomo, MO, passed away with his daughter by his side on May 3, 2022. Paul was a devoted husband, dad, bonus dad, father-in-law, grandpa, great-grandpa, son, brother, brother-in-law, uncle, great uncle, foreman, dada, papa, and friend to many. His passing will leave a legacy of fond memories in each of our hearts.
Paul was born in Leavenworth, KS on July 15, 1948 to Ben and Leora Lindsey. During his formative years, he was an active member of Hillsboro Christian Church and the Farley Jolly Workers 4-H Club. Paul graduated from West Platte High School where he lettered in football, wrestling, and the trombone. As a young adult, Paul served in the military from 1966 until 1970. Following his military service, Paul worked in construction where he led many jobs and people whom he considered family. He was a proud member of Laborers Local 264. You cannot travel through the greater Kansas City area without viewing buildings that Paul was in charge of pouring the foundation or creating their reach on the skyline. This all happened because “Paul said so”. Among his hobbies, he enjoyed working in his yard, grilling, bowling, watching the Chiefs, Royals, and NASCAR, visiting Stroud’s, and spending time with loved ones. There is no doubt, Paul had the strongest work ethic you will ever find leaving a wealth of knowledge to those he mentored throughout his years.
Paul is survived by his loving wife of 31 years, Diana; daughters: Paula Kay Winkler (Craig Winkler) and Cameron Callaway Lindsey West (Allen Arizona West); son, David Lee Munden (Brenda Munden); five grandchildren: Kayla Winkler, Kassie Winkler, Joshua Munden, Kyle Munden, and Trinity Lindsey West; three great-grandchildren: Karah Beckner, Eva Beckner, and Bentllie Winkler; mother, Leora Fae Leslie (Porter); sister, Shirley Fay Eaton (Charlie Eaton); brother, David Allen Lindsey (Ellen Lindsey); four nieces and nephew, and 6 cats. Paul was preceded in death by his father, Ben Lindsey, and his grandson, Michael Dean Roe.
A Celebration of Life will take place to honor Paul at the Northland Stroud’s on May 21st from 11-2.
