William T. "Bill" Mulich , Age: 96
Apr 06, 1926 - May 27, 2022

William T. "Bill" Mulich passed away peacefully May 27th, 2022 age 96 years.  Bill was born and raised in Kansas City, Kansas, the son of Frank and Emily Mulich (Maurin) and was preceded in death by the love of his life Delores (June 6, 2008).  Bill was a remodeling contractor in Kansas City and served in the Kansas Legislature as a Representative and later being elected to the State Senate from Wyandotte County, Kansas.  A World War II veteran, Bill was drafted into the Navy the week after he graduated from Bishop Ward High School and served his country in the Pacific Theatre aboard the Destroyer USS James C. Owens. After the war Bill, like many of his remarkable generation who experienced the Great Depression and a World War, returned home, got married, and raised a family.

Bill enjoyed being in politics and talking politics as those who knew him can attest.  But his greatest joy that brought him much happiness was being with and talking about his grandchildren and great grandchildren.  A star athlete in high school, he enjoyed watching sports as long as it was football or basketball .... especially KU Basketball.  And his running commentary and coaching from the couch is legendary.

Bill was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years Delores, one grandson (Scott Hatfield)  a son in law (Michael Carroll) and eleven brothers and sisters.  Survivors include Linda and Don Hatfield of Raymore, Bill and Sherry Mulich of Olathe, Diana Carroll of West Branson, Missouri, and Mike and Amy Mulich of Olathe.  He is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
