Dawn (Tinsley) Hyatt, age 55, passed away from metastatic cancer on June 3, 2022. She is survived by her husband, Jodie and daughter Alyssa, her three cats and a granddog. She is also survived by her brother, Steve and his wife Tammy, as well as many family members and close friends.

 Dawn was born in Omaha, Nebraska to Marilyn and Bob Tinsley but was raised in Kansas City, Missouri. She was a graduate of Oak Park High School (Class of 1984). Dawn’s work experience included American Century, Park University and the Federal Reserve. She was hard working, detail oriented and had a way of keeping you on your toes.

 Those who know Dawn understand her nickname “Tenacious D.” She was fiercely determined and fought hard. She laughed a lot. She never took herself too seriously. She was gullible and sassy, funny and fun to be around. There was never a dull moment in a day with Dawn.

 To know Dawn was to know that she deeply loved her husband and daughter, her cats, her chapter friends, her church friends, her small group and the many friends she made through the years. 

 We will miss that smile and her presence in our daily lives. We would love to have you join us and honor her life on Wednesday, June 15^th at her church, North Heartland Community Church (4800 NW 88^th St., Kansas City, Missouri). Visitation 5 pm, Service 6 pm, Reception to follow (with food and beverages that Dawn requested).
