Anne F. Welch Bauman

Anne F. Welch Bauman, of Overland Park, Kansas, died on July 19, 2022. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mildred J. O'Brien Welch and Flaven F. Welch, her sisters Flavia Tarwater and Geraldine Scanlon; and brothers Edmund F. Welch and Casimir Welch. Anne is survived by her husband Mark Maurice Bauman, and her sisters Mary Harte and Barbara Dwelle.

 

Anne was born in Kansas City, Missouri, and grew up there. She was a professor emerita of English and taught 40 years on all levels from grade one through university. She received a B.A. in philosophy in English from Fontbonne University and a M.A. In English and at Loyola University in Chicago.

 

In addition to her career in education, Anne enjoyed family, friends, writing, literature, music, astronomy, languages, architecture, and the defense of The Constitution and The Bill of Rights.

 

Since I am writing this now at my computer before my demise, I, Anne, would like to express the deepest thanks to everyone with whom I came in contact in my life. You have made mine the most wonderful life it has been. Cremation. No memorial services, flowers, or donations.

Mark, my thoughts and prayers are with you in losing Anne. She was a wonderful teacher and friend at JCCC. I know you have a heavy heart in not having Anne with you. Take care now. Jim
