Eric Stephen Kunz passed away on August 9, 2022.  The first-born son of Stephen and Cynthia Kunz, Eric was raised in Overland Park, Kansas, attending The Barstow School and graduating from Shawnee Mission East.  In high school, he was an outstanding athlete on the football, basketball, and track teams. Eric's interests were comedy, movies, strength training, music, concerts, a good steak, Rottweilers, the Chiefs, and relaxing with friends and family.  Eric was an excellent writer and displayed his witty and sensitive side commenting on current events and writing poetry. He could always be counted on to provide humorous and sincere tributes for friends and family at weddings and birthdays.

The Bell by Eric

By the door

Always by the door

Imagination, laughter, compassion,

Confined

An unsuspecting victim

One who's aggression commands attention

The plea for voice unheeded

Perceptions too dangerous

I could be magnificent!

I would be strong!

Find the key

Struggling cuts deep

Clockwise movement

Left hungry again
