Col. Rene Reimann , Age: 82

Col. Rene Reimann, Jr., USAF (Retired), 82, passed away on November 12, 2022 in Overland Park, KS. He was born in New York, NY and grew up in Cedar Grove, New Jersey. He graduated from Rutgers University and obtained an MBA from Golden Gate University. Rene proudly served in the U.S. Air Force including active duty, Air Force Reserves and Air National Guard, retiring in 1993 after 30 years of service. He flew as a navigator and bombardier on B-52 and B-57 bombers, C-130 and C-141 cargo aircraft, and trained new USAF navigators on T-29s and T-43s.  He served during the Vietnam War flying B-57 Tropic Moon II aircraft. Rene's Air Force Reserve assignments included 41st Aerial Port Squadron Commander, 4th Air-Force-Operational Plans Staff Officer, and Air Force Emergency Preparedness Liaison Officer for The Adjutant Generals of Kansas and Massachusetts. Rene also worked in Air Force civilian positions as a Quality Officer, Safety Manager and Wing Executive Officer.  He was a Disaster Training Manager for the American Red Cross in Kansas City, MO and was an adjunct instructor for Friends University. He was a member of the Sunflower Chapter of the Military Officers Association of America and served on the Board of Directors.
