Everett Rowland King, Age: 92

Everett Rowland King, 92, of Raymore, Missouri, passed away February 1, 2023, at Foxwood

Springs Senior Living. A celebration of life is to be scheduled in the Spring of 2023. Memorial

contributions may be made to Fellowship of John at Foxwood Springs Senior Living.

Mr. King was born June 6, 1930 in Washington, D.C. He spent much of his youth in the

Washington, D.C. area where he met his wife, Barbara (Schreiner) King, while they were young

teenagers. They were married in 1949 and raised a daughter, Karen King Bishop, and a son,

Everett "Bill" King. They were transferred from the east coast to Kansas City, Missouri in 1965.

Everett worked as an engineer at the Western Electric plant in Lee's Summit, Missouri.

In 1974, he and his wife moved to the Ft. Lauderdale, Florida area where he worked as an

insurance agent. The couple then opened their own insurance agency in Coral Springs, Florida

where they worked together for 15 years.

In 2004, they moved back to Raymore, Missouri to be near family. Everett moved to Foxwood

Springs in 2016 where he joined the choir and loved to sing for the residents and staff. Most of

all, Everett was a very loving husband, and a wonderful father, grandfather and

great-grandfather. He became a great great grandfather January 22, 2023. We love him very

much and will truly miss him. He was preceded in death by wife, Barbara; parents, Claison and

Carol King, and brother, Clifton King. Survivors include his sisters, Ruby Hale and Liz Miller and

sister-in law, Dorothy King (wife of Clifton); daughter, Karen Bishop and husband, Ron of Lee's

Summit; son, Everett “Bill” King, and wife, Linda, of Columbia, Missouri; grandson, Todd Bishop,

and fiancé, Dina Canseco; grandson, Jeff Bishop, and wife, Francine; granddaughter, Amber

Bramble, and husband, Matt; grandson, Alan Eckhardt, and wife, Tonya; granddaughter, Erica

Thompson and husband, Travis; ten great grandchildren, Trevor ((and wife Emily), Jake, Megan

and Kaytlin Bishop, and Taylor and Jadyn Bramble; Ashur and Nyx Eckhardt and Riley and

Winston Thompson; and great great granddaughter, Nova Craig; close friend, Tim Donovan,

and a large extended group of family and friends.

The family offers a special thank you to the wonderful staff and healthcare team at Foxwood

Springs; and Jessica and McKenna from Missouri Palliative and Hospice who took such good

care of Everett during his final days.
