Peggy Ellen Vogel was born December 7, 1949, in Dodge City, KS to Billy and Frances (Karns) Henderson and passed away in Kansas City, MO on Tuesday February 1, 2023. She grew up in Dodge City and overall spent most of her life in southwest Kansas.

Peggy had a love of crafts and painting before being known as a realtor for over 20 years. She spent many years teaching painting classes and participating in craft shows around Dodge City. Cooking, especially baking, was a big part of her life that she loved to share with her family and friends. She ensured no one was hungry after leaving her home. After re-connecting with her cowboy, David Gibson, she developed a love of horses and shared that joy of caring for them alongside him.

Peggy was preceded in death by her brothers Robert Curtis Henderson and Billy Craig Henderson, parents Billy Corrigan and Frances Ellen Henderson and her partner David Gordon Gibson.

Peggy is survived by her two children and their families; Jason (Cindy) Vogel, Heather Richardson as well as 2 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild and her two brothers and their families; Earl (Lora) Henderson and Quinby (Ann) Henderson along with the blended family of extended children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren with partner David Gibson.

A celebration of life will be held Saturday, March 25^th from 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm at the Ashland Community Center, 812 Main Street & 8^th Avenue, Ashland, KS 67831
