August 20, 1925 - March 13, 2023

Anita Marie (Page) Harrison, 97, of Olathe, KS passed away peacefully in her sleep on March 13, 2023. She was born on August 20, 1925 in Kansas City, MO to Albert and Marie Burras Page. Anita attended Southeast High School where she met many lifelong friends. On December 22, 1945 at the age of 20, she married the love of her life, Alan Wayne Harrison.

Anita spent years being a supportive wife during Wayne’s time in the United States Navy and later in his business career. In addition to being a supportive wife, she was the loving mother of three wonderful children, Stephen Wayne Harrison, Kimberley Harrison Roberts and Jan Marie Harrison McGowan.

Anita and Wayne enjoyed many happy years spending time with their friends and family, traveling all over the world, hosting military families from various countries through People to People International’s Military Officer hosting program at Fort Leavenworth, KS, playing golf and lots of games and generally enjoying all that life had to offer.

Anita was famous for hosting wonderful family holiday gatherings and could always be counted on to serve her famous coffee cake on Christmas morning, to have a candy jar full of gumdrops, a cookie jar with Pecan Sandies, a purse that always included a supply of Tic Tacs and a coffee mug, a martini or a glass of Chablis in her hand. She was also a fashionista who always knew “what they were showing” in the major fashion magazines.

Anita was beloved by her family and friends and will be missed dearly.

She leaves behind her children Steve Harrison (Carla), Kim Roberts (Tom) and Jan McGowan (Tim) as well as 10 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren who will always remember plenty of great times with Nana.

The family would like to thank the wonderful staff at Santa Marta and family friend and special caretaker Peggy Marsh for their years of great care they provided Anita. A private gathering for her family will be held at a later date.
