Surviving family members include: son-in-law, Dan Jackson; daughter, Anita Boyer (husband, Mark Boyer); son, William Zane Stanley, III, (wife, June Stanley); step-daughter, Pam Leeper; step-son, Brian Leeper; niece, Rita Vaughan; and nephew, Michael Vaughn (wife, Reba Vaughn). Five grandchildren survive Violet: Nathan Jackson (adoption); Alex Boyer (marriage); Dylan Allen, Whitney Leutsch and Madison Glennie (marriage); several great-grandchildren; great-nephew, Heath Brown (husband, Jed Turner) and many extended family members. She will be missed by her whole family.

The family would like to thank Mark and Anita Boyer for providing daily, loving care to Violet while she resided in their home for the last year. The Boyer and Stanley families would like to recognize the Crossroads Hospice team members for their tender and dedicated care over the final months.

A private service will be held in Springfield, Missouri. Memorials and donations may be made to Operation Breakthrough, 3039 Troost, KC, MO 64109, in the name of Violet Leeper.

Part-time caregiver ,Chandler ,Arizona

It was a privilege to know Violet as a family member and respite caregiver over the past several years. I will always remember her dancing through the dessert line at Milburn Country Club and how “skillfully” she cheated at many many games of Liverpool rummy. She was the perfect blend of chic, funny, sharp and loving. She will always be loved and missed. 💜

"Sometimes people come into your life for a moment, a day, a lifetime. It matters not the time they spent with you but how they impacted your life in that time." - unknown Violet made a difference in my life; I could always count on seeing her smile, on witnessing her strength and her determination to live life on her terms. I always left a bit lighter than when I arrived. It was my honor taking care of such a wonderful Woman, a wonderful family. Thank you Anita, for the opportunity to do so.

I was fortunate to witness firsthand the love and devotion that Violet and her daughter, Anita, shared with each other. They each brightened the other’s day, everyday, without fail. And mine as well. We miss her dearly, and are so glad we got to spend so much time w her.

I send heartfelt condolences to my husband, Mark, son in law of Violet. He loved her dearly and fully supported me as I cared for mom. I am so grateful to my sister in law, Lynn Boyer. Your respite care gave Mark and I the ability to get away and know she was getting the best care possible.
