Jerry was born to Charles and Idabelle Cicero in Pittsburg, KS on May 23, 1944.  He was raised in Pittsburg, KS and was a graduate of Pittsburg High School.  Jerry was proud to be from Pittsburg and remembered fondly “what a great life I had growing up and how simple it was to live then.” He later attended Pittsburg State University where he was a member of the Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity and graduated in 1967 with a degree in Printing Technology.  It was at PSU where he met the love of his life, Pamelia Mallory, whom he married June 10, 1967, they were married for 56 years.

Following graduation, he and Pam moved to Seattle, WA where Jerry was stationed during his service in the US Navy.  He was a crew member on the USS Plainview, an experimental Hydrofoil in Bremerton, WA. There he made lifelong friends with whom he kept in touch with his entire life.

After his Navy service he and Pam moved to Overland Park, KS where he started his first typesetting company, Lettergraphics in 1970.  As technology and business evolved, he was constantly changing and evolving his business as well and created Cicero Graphic Resources.  In total he ran his business for 31 years.  During his career he was selected as Outstanding Young Alumni at PSU, he served on the board of the KCDMA for 7 years, he was a charter board director for KCDMA’s educational foundation, he served as president of the Junior Ad Club, and the Advertising Club of Kansas City, and was awarded Direct Marketer of the Year in 1999.

Jerry is survived by his wife Pam and two children, Son Shane Cicero and his wife Megan, and two granddaughters, Anna and Sophia; Daughter Summer Waris and her husband Mike, and two grandchildren, Ben & Livia.  He was preceded in death by his parents Charlie and Idabelle Cicero.

Pam and family, please accept my sincere condolences on behalf of my own family. Jerry was one of the nicest, most gentle and caring people I've ever known. I didn't know him while growing up very well, but later in my life I got to meet and talk with him at the 2018 family reunion. I am blessed to have known him and so glad we got to talk and reminisce. Prayers of comfort and healing for you all.

My deepest condolences to my Cicero family on your loss. I always looked forward to seeing Jerry during our family visits to Pittsburg & KC. He had the warmest smile, gentle mannerisms and embraced the importance of keeping in touch with family. You always felt welcomed in his presence. Jerry was my mom's cousin. They were six years apart. She always talked highly of him and said on occasions she would babysit him. He will be greatly missed. RIP cousin🕊🌻

Since Jerry's dad was my dad's brother, we were a close family especially when we were kids. Even though we lived in Kansas City, we frequently visited Pittsburg. Our families rarely missed a Christmas together. Needless to say, he will be missed. Our condolences to Pam, Summer, Shane and their families. Rest in peace Jerry.
