James E. “Jim” Luttrell II, 56, of Blue Springs, MO passed away unexpectedly at his home on Monday, September 25, 2023. Jim was born on March 9, 1967 in Lima, OH to James and Cheryl (Long) Luttrell.

Jim graduated in 1985 from Madison Comprehensive High School in Mansfield, OH.

Jim moved to the Kansas City area where is met the love of his life on 04/27/2000. Jim and Jennifer had a blended family with sons Ryan, Jacob and Dakota. Jim and Jennifer were united in marriage on March 30, 2001.

Jim worked most recently as a car salesman at McCarthy Auto in Marshall, MO. He previously had worked at Universal Auto, Jack Miller Kia, The Kansas City Chiefs and Ameristar Casino to name a few.

Jim was an Avid Ohio State Buckeye fan. When he moved to the Kansas City area he converted to a Kansas City Chiefs and Kansas City Royals fan. He was also a Nascar fan. He was also one of the biggest cheerleaders of the various teams his grandchildren and niece played for. 

Jim enjoyed all of his life adventures with Jen including going to concerts, wineries and travelling to various places. Jen was truly the love of his life.

Jim is proceeded in death by his parents Jim and Cheryl Luttrell, Grandfathers Harry Long and Nile Luttrell. Grandmother Beatrice (Beaumont) Luttrell, Uncle Ron Luttrell.

Jim is survived by his beloved wife Jennifer of the home, children Ryan Allen (Tracey), Jacob Luttrell and Dakota Luttrell. Brother Scott Luttrell, Sister Tracy Luttrell, Grandchildren: Collin, Connor, Shelby, Audrianna, Hayden and River. Nieces and nephews: Dillan, Hailey, Andrew, Jessica and Tyler.  His in-laws: Rick and Donna Allen, Brother-in-law Jason (Rachel) Allen, Best friends/brothers: Chris DelaCruz and Mike Mitchell, Grandmother Ruth Long, Aunts and Uncles: Nancy, Kit, Bud, Terry, Bill, Michelle, Ruth and Sandy as well as several cousins that he was close with.

Jim’s celebration of life will be held on Saturday, September 30, 2023 at Blue Springs Christian Church in Blue Springs, MO. In Jim’s memory people are encouraged to wear casual clothing: shorts, jeans, Chiefs, Royals, Nascar and Buckeyes attire.
