Ramon "Ray" Lawrence Ragone

Ramon “Ray” Lawrence Ragone of Kansas City, Missouri passed away on Wednesday, November 8, 2023.

 

Ray was born August 31, 1938 in Cleveland, Ohio to Raymond and Pauline (Oren) Ragone.  He graduated from Paseo High School in Kansas City in 1955.  He was a very proud Italian-American and United States Marine Corps veteran.   He was also a retired sergeant for the Kansas City Missouri Police Department where he served for 28 years.  On May 13, 1967 he married the love of his life Judy.  They lived their entire 56 years together in Kansas City where they had 4 children.  He was an avid Jeopardy fan and model train collector.  He enjoyed reading and spending time with his wife, children, and 12 grandchildren.  Family was what was most important to him.

 

He is preceded in death by his father, Raymond, mother Pauline, sister Marianne and grandson, Nicholas.

 

Ray is survived by his wife of 56 years, Judy.  He has 4 children, Christopher, Jason and his wife Deborah, Lana and her husband Timothy Jonkman, and Ryan and his wife Krystal.  His 12 grandchildren Joscelyn, Dawsen, Jason and his wife Natalie, Graysen, Joseph, Ava, Ashleigh, Gage, Samuel, Natalie, Beau, and Matthew.  Ray has 2 brothers, Anthony and David, and several beloved nieces and nephews.
