Lewis G. Glassburn, a beloved husband, father, and grandfather, passed away on November 22, 2023, leaving behind a legacy of love, warmth, and cherished memories. Lewis was born in Liberty, Missouri, and raised on a picturesque Mennonite farm in Harper, Kansas, surrounded by the beauty of the land that would shape his character and values.

Returning to Kansas City, Lewis dedicated years of hard work to General Electric, where he exhibited unwavering commitment until his well-earned retirement. Even in his leisure, Lewis could be found daily, tending to his home and pool in the North Kansas City area, demonstrating a strong work ethic and a passion for maintaining his surroundings.

Lewis's heart overflowed with love for his family and friends. He cherished the simple joys of life and had a remarkable ability to find the positive in every situation. Never uttering a bad word about anyone, Lewis created an atmosphere of kindness and understanding wherever he went.

In 2004, Lewis joined hands in marriage with his wife, Diana. Their union Continued until Lewis's final days. Lewis is survived by his wife, Diana Glassburn, his son John DeFoor, and daughter-in-law Rori DeFoor, as well as his two adored grandsons, John DeFoor Jr. and Nicholas DeFoor.

Apart from his human family, Lewis leaves behind two cherished Pomeranians, Sassy, and Teddy, who brought additional joy and companionship to his life. His passing also leaves a void in the hearts of many extended family members and friends who were touched by his kindness and generosity.

Lewis Glassburn was more than a man; he was a beacon of positivity and love. Throughout his life, he touched the lives of those around him with his warm smile, caring nature, and genuine compassion. His legacy lives on through the countless hearts he has influenced, and the memories shared will forever be a testament to the extraordinary man he was.
