Deborah (Debbie) Jewel Carter

Deborah Jewel Carter, also known as Debbie, passed away on December 6, 2023, in Independence, Missouri at the age of 71. She was born on April 27, 1952 in Spiro, Oklahoma. Debbie was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and a dear friend to many. She had a warm and loving personality, always ready to lend a hand or provide comfort to those in need.

 

Debbie's open-hearted nature was evident in her long-lasting relationships. She is survived by her brother born on October 13, 1946. Her caring and compassionate spirit touched the lives of many and she will be deeply missed by her family and friends.

 

In terms of education, Debbie attended Northeast High School and obtained her GED. Throughout her career, she worked at the Main Street Barber Shop for over two decades. Towards the end of her professional journey, she retired from the Blue Springs School District where she served as a bus driver.

 

Outside of work, Debbie had a passion for various hobbies. She enjoyed bowling, fishing, and canoeing which brought her joy and relaxation throughout her life.

 

A celebration of Debbie's life will be held on her birthday, April 27, 2024, at an undecided location. This special occasion will also honor her little sister Donna Anne Green, who passed away on September 17, 2023, born on July 27, 1955. Both Debbie and Donna will be laid to rest at Mt. Washington Cemetery.

 

Debbie Carter's loving presence will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Her legacy of kindness and compassion will forever be cherished.
