Jason Ray Flippin was a loving dad, grandpa, partner, son, brother, uncle, and friend. Jason was born to Jerry Ray Flippin & Dolores (Del) Conner Kirkpatrick on December 30, 1971, in Shawnee Mission, Kansas. Jason passed away on April 24, 2024, in Independence, Missouri at the age of 52, surrounded by loved ones who will honor his legacy by living life to the fullest. Jason was preceded in death by his father Jerry Ray Flippin of Latham, Mo.
Jason graduated from Norton High School in Lincoln, Nebraska in 1990 and then returned to the Eldon area where he began a career at Auffenberg Ford in 1992. While working at Auffenberg, Jason received many extensive training awards and worked his way through the company to become the Parts Manager. After leaving the Ford dealership, Jason worked a few other places before settling at All-Com Digital Fire & Security for the past 7.5 years. Jason had a passion for hard work and getting the job done right. He also was a master builder. He was always working with his hands and had a brilliant mind. He lived life every day exactly how he wanted to.
Jason’s strength and love were unmatched. His children and grandchildren brought him the utmost joy in life. Jason’s greatest passions were his family, his fishing, and his golf game. Jason tried to find the positive in every situation even when faced with life challenges. Jason will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all those who loved and knew him.
Jason is survived by his mother, Dolores Kirkpatrick; his fiancé Lisa Hoffman; three children: Brittany Ann Flippin-Strohm (Damon), Nicholas Michael Flippin (Emma) and Raylee Flippin; a brother, Mark Howser; 4 grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition, Jason was able to enjoy time with Lisa’s two children and 7 grandchildren. He also had two great friends whom were the mothers of his children and his loudest cheerleaders for success and many many other friends.
A celebration of Jason’s life will be held on Thursday, May 9th, 2024 from 5-8 pm at the Eldon Community Center, 309 E 2nd St, Eldon MO 65026. All who knew Jason are welcome to stop by and share a story and offer condolences to the family.
