Michael George Messer was born on June 26, 1947, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He passed away peacefully on June 25, 2024, at his home.

Michael and his parents, George Conard Messer and Catherine Elizabeth (Good) moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma in 1952. He often spent his weekends listening to Chicago, The Band and other oldies, or going to car shows to enjoy the old cars or driving one of his own - 1970 Corvette.

Michael is survived by his loving wife, Beverly, and their two sons, Matthew Conard Messer (Jamie) of Kansas City, MO and Asa Andrew Vail, of Olathe, KS and his devoted sister Sallye Jayne Herbert (John) of Owasso, OK and preceded in death by his parents. He was a devoted husband, father, and brother.

Michael has requested to be cremated with no memorial service. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Kansas City Hospice in Michael's honor kchospice.org

Dear Beverly, Andy & Matt It was a honor to care for Mike in these final months. The love and care I witnessed Beverly give to Mike was patient and kind. Exemplary allowing Mike's humor to shine thru until his final moments. His boys visits & help were treasured moments. Mike's lengthy illness was handled by him and these beautiful family members with resilience and care. Thank you for allowing my team to help. Maripat Pena RN BSN RNCM @ Kansas City Hospice
