Bob was a good friend and cherished colleague during our days together in the Diocese of Tennessee. And, by the way, an excellent chair of the Standing Committee during a difficult time between bishops in the 1990s. The church here on earth is somewhat diminished by his departure, but heaven is much the more glorious.

Oh, Sheri... I just wrote to Bob the other day about your bishop election. Clearly I didn't know he was ill... so am shocked. I've always thought of him as so healthy. And I have to many memories of our work together and his officiating at Russell and my wedding. Blessings and prayers as you navigate this time of loss and grief... and all that lies ahead. Do take care of yourself. pax and love, Mary Jane Mary Jane Francis retclergy@comcast.net/revmjf@gmail.com
