Dennis P. Linthicum

Dennis passed away on Friday August 23, 2024. Celebration of Life and Military Honors will be held on Tuesday 2:00 PM, following a visitation at 1:00 PM September 3, 2024 at Harrisonville Church of the Nazarene 2305 E South Street Harrisonville, MO. Burial will be at a later date at Orient Cemetery in Harrisonville.  In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to Harrisonville V.F.W., Harrisonville, MO.

Dennis was born January 21, 1948, in Carthage MO. He is the oldest son of Robert “Bob” and Geraldine “Jerry” Linthicum (McHaffie). He was a lifelong area resident. He was a proud Navy Vietnam Veteran and had a great love for his country and Democracy. Dennis retired from working as a Vehicle Insurance Claims Adjuster. He loved this role as he was able to be out driving and traveling from job to job and making his own schedule. Dennis was an avid golfer, loved a great game of pool and enjoyed traveling and being outdoors when he could. He always looked forward to any opportunity to have a good time with friends.

 He was loved and will be missed by many.

He was proceeded in death by his parents, one brother Roger Linthicum, two sons Curtis Linthicum and Dennis Paul Linthicum, II. He is survived by daughter Paula (Nathan) Carpenter, Orange Park, FL; son Jason (Kressy) Linthicum, Grain Valley, MO; sister Cathy (Jerry) Mead, Adrian, MO; 4 grandchildren Holden, Devin, Drew and Alex, as well as nieces, nephews and other family and friends.
