Milo G. Chappell

 1952-2024

Milo G. Chappell, 71, of Leawood, Kansas, died peacefully on September 10, 2024.

He was born in Peoria, Illinois in 1952 to Miles M. Chappell and Irma (Good) Chappell.

Milo graduated from Mount Vernon High School in Mount Vernon, Illinois and went on to graduate from Southern Illinois University in Carbondale, with a major in Business Administration in 1974.  He worked as a manufacturing representative for Hickory Furniture and Capel Rugs as part of his early career.  Milo most recently enjoyed hosting a Christian radio program.  He loved telling stories and entertaining his listeners and friends.  All remember the many stories because his range of knowledge encompassed many different subjects.

Milo was preceded in death by his parents, Miles and Irma Chappell, and is survived by his wife, Susan M. Chappell, and his nephew, Jeremy Gorrell, who admired him like a father.

Services will be private.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Tunnel 2 Towers (T2T.org) a cause he felt strongly about which supports our first responders and veterans.  Or Cure of Ars Catholic School of Leawood, Kansas which supports the Christian education and values he so truly believed in.
