Willard Crosby Senn, Age: 71
Jul 19, 1953 - Sep 14, 2024

Willard Crosby Senn, aged 71, passed away on September 14, 2024, in Lee's Summit, MO. He was born on July 19, 1953, in Alachua County, Florida.

Will graduated from Marion Abramson High School in New Orleans in 1971. He attended the University of New Orleans for a time but decided to pursue a career as a craftsman and cobbler. As he often said, “I like taking something old and making it useful again.” He eventually opened his own business, Beehive Shoe and Luggage Repair in Kenner, LA. And was successful for many years. In 2005, after Katrina's wrath, his business closed and he and his wife relocated to Lee's Summit MO. to be near family. The last years of his career were spent at Bag and Baggage in Prairie Village. KS. as repair shop manager until his cancer diagnosis in November 2022.

He was a loving husband to Pennie Senn for 30 years and cherished step-dad to Griff and Damien Midkiff. Will was also a beloved brother and adored uncle by his many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephew and great great nieces and great great nephew. He is survived by his sister, Helen Senn and preceded in death by his brother Theodore Senn, his father Vincent John Senn and mother Josephine Beckwith Senn.

Will had a kind heart and was overly generous and even though at times he was taken advantage of- he remained generous.

Will listened with an open heart and cared about what people were saying. Though many times , he was unheard- he still listened.

Will loved deeply and freely. Even when those he loved at times were unlovable- he loved anyway.

He was loud, laughed with gusto and never let the truth get in the way of a good story. He will be greatly missed by family and friends.

There will be no memorial service. His ashes will be scattered in his beloved city of New Orleans at a future date.

“Some of it's magic and some of it's tragic but I had a good life all the way.”  Jimmy Buffett

Aunt Pennie, Your tribute to Uncle Will sums him up so well. I will always remember his hearty laugh at family gatherings. He always got the biggest kick out of the white elephant gift exchange. He and his beautiful cat, Lucy, had such a special bond. I hope they are together again. He was a Southern gentleman and always accepting of everyone. I remember when Mom and Dad came back from your and Will’s wedding, Dad was so so happy for you two. I’m sorry for the void left in your life and pray daily for your comfort and peace. Love, Your youngest and smartest niece!
