Carolyn Audrey Chanowski Baker, known affectionately as Conald, passed away peacefully on November 5, 2024, at the age of 88 in Lenexa, Kansas. Born on November 10, 1935, in Kansas City, Missouri, to Alva T. and Dorothy Bradley, she lived a vibrant and impactful life.

Conald was a beacon of joy and creativity to all who knew her. Her fun-loving spirit and memorable personality were complemented by her orneriness and a delightful sense of humor, making every moment spent with her a cherished memory. A fiercely private individual, she managed to leave an indelible mark on the hearts of her family and friends.

Her creative passions were vast and varied. Conald was an expert seamstress, a skilled jewelry maker, and an enthusiastic scrapbooker. Her artistic talents extended to card making and painting, each hobby a testament to her meticulous and imaginative spirit. Beyond her crafts, she had a profound love for rock and roll music, which kept her youthful at heart.

Conald's family was her pride and joy. She is survived by her loving daughter, Jennifer Anbari; and her adored grandchildren, Sarah, Matthew, Daniel, and Beth. She was preceded in death by her son, David Chanowski; her husband, Hugh Baker; her parents, Alva T. and Dorothy Bradley; and her siblings, Margie, Dorothy, Billy Jean, and Sam.

Conald's legacy will live on in the countless lives she touched and the beautiful creations she leaves behind. Her family and friends will continue to honor her memory by embracing the qualities she exemplified: creativity, humor, and a deep love for life.
