Daniel McKeehan, 70, of Basehor, KS passed away peacefully on March 6, 2025. He was born on January 22nd, 1955 in Kansas City, MO to Mary Ellen McKeehan and James Atlas McKeehan.

Daniel was a loving son, Father and Grandfather. He was an extremely talented artist and truly a kid at heart.  Daniel was a man who brought happiness to everyone he met, with his smile, positive attitude and kind heart. Daniel was a truly special man who loved performing and listening to music, drawing his cartoons, and being with family. He was also a diehard Chiefs fan - never missing a game on TV.

Daniel was preceded in death by his mother Mary Ellen, father James McKeehan, sisters Becky Seales and Linda Bartlett. 

Daniel is survived by his 6 sisters Patricia Lofton, Eva Wilson, Michelle McKeehan, Jamie Colwell, Vickie Horton and brother Michael McKeehan. His daughter, Jacquine Nichols, Chris Nichols, grandchildren Alexis Alcala, Jeffrey Alcala, Christopher Nichols, Jackson Nichols, and Avery Nichols. He also had a great grandson, Cairo Alcala on the way.

The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to all who have offered their love and support during this difficult time. Daniel’s absence has left a huge void with his friends and family and will be missed greatly. 

A celebration of life will be held March 16th at 1pm at the Bonner Springs Community Center - Sunflower Room (200 E 3rd Street, Bonner Springs, KS 66012)
