Patricia Andrea (Mikus) DiObilda
May 17, 1947 - Mar 19, 2025

Patricia Andrea DiObilda (Mikus) peacefully passed away on March 19, 2025, following a courageous battle with Alzheimer’s and a brief but valiant fight against cancer. She was at her home in Kansas City, Missouri, surrounded by love, in the arms of her devoted husband of nearly 50 years, Steve W. DiObilda.

Born on May 17, 1947, in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, Patricia was the cherished daughter of Andrew and Agnes (Coniff) Mikus, who both preceded her in death. She was also preceded by her beloved brother, Vincent Mikus, and her daughter, Leanne DiObilda.

Patricia's memory lives on through her loving husband, Steve, of Kansas City; her son, Eric DiObilda, and his wife, Carol, of Lancaster, Pennsylvania; her daughter, Dr. Angela Sharp (DiObilda), son-in-law, Brian, and treasured grandchildren, Andrew and Eva, all of Kansas City.

Patricia found joy in life’s small treasures, particularly her knack for uncovering delightful knick-knacks from local thrift stores and dollar shops—her favorites often featuring birds or clowns. She also had a special affection for Olaf, the endearing snowman, collecting an array of items like clothing, pillows, snow globes, figurines, and keychains that bore his image. Patricia’s love for animals was apparent in her devotion to her parakeets and the many small dogs she adored over the years.

A proud fan of the Green Bay Packers, Patricia was fortunate enough to attend several games, cheering passionately for her team. She and Steve shared a love of travel, exploring the country together and creating lasting memories, with the Black Hills of South Dakota and Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, holding a special place in her heart.

Patricia served her country with pride and honor as a Navy veteran during the Vietnam War, a testament to her strength and dedication.

The family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to ACG Hospice of Kansas City for their compassionate care.
