Deborah Kay (Elton) Wise, Age: 69
Feb 07, 1956 - Mar 25, 2025

Deborah Kay (Elton) Wise, age 69, passed away peacefully at her home in Liberty, Missouri on Tuesday, March 25, 2025. She modeled strength, gratitude and courage throughout a lengthy illness, supported by her loving family and especially her devoted husband Gary Wise, with whom she shared 41 years of marriage.

Debbie was born on February 7, 1956 in Toledo, Ohio to her parents Betty Aossey and Fredrick Elton. She attended Rogers High School and worked for a variety of companies, including Doehler-Jarvis, Cherrydale and the Sterling Milk Company, where she served as manager.  Debbie and Gary raised four children, including their oldest son Gary G. Wise and daughters Sarah (Walter) Huber, Jaime (Scott) Hollabaugh, and Amanda (Tarik) Wise. She was a constant and loving mother and wife who enjoyed time shared with family.

An outstanding cook and baker, Debbie welcomed others into her life, exuding kindness, generosity, and warmth that many will remember gratefully. If you needed help or an ally to listen late into the night, Debbie was there. She found joy in conversation, crocheting, bowling, and collecting dishes and coins. She loved music, especially the Rolling Stones, and maintained longstanding friendships with many from Toledo and Kansas City who will join family in recalling her good humor and fun spirit.

In addition to her husband Gary and four children, Debbie is survived by brothers Edward and Sam, sisters Laura and Nancy, aunt Shirley, and four cherished grandchildren - Dylan, Matthew, Lauren and Ava - plus many nephews and nieces. Debbie was preceded in death by her parents, her stepfather Emmet Aossey, brothers Daniel and Rick, and sister Darla.

Memorial contributions may be made with great thanks to Harbor Hospice of Kansas City. Debbie’s family will communicate details for a memorial service in Ohio as soon as they are available.
