William John Scheid, a wonderful husband, brother, uncle and friend, passed away at his home in Kansas City, Missouri May 2, 2025. Bill faced cancer with incredible strength and determination, first diagnosed with prostate cancer many years ago and later battled metastatic and bone cancer in his last couple of years.
Born on June 19, 1959, in Phoenix, Arizona to Ray and Patricia Scheid and lived the majority of his life in Kansas City. Bill’s life was filled with love for his family and friends. He was always willing to lend a helping hand to others.
Bill worked in the construction and remodeling field the majority of his life. Bill had a passion for golf and played every chance he could.
Bill is survived by his wife, Sharon Scheid and his niece and her husband Tara and Curtis Clauser which were more like his daughter and son. Also, his sister Patty Helen Shanley, his other nieces Alisha Gipson and Andrea Smith and his nephews Jeremiah Upton and Cory Scheid. He was preceded in death by his father, Ray Scheid Sr.; his mother, Patricia Scheid; and his brother, Ray Scheid Jr.
The family is planning a memorial service and will send details at a later date.
