James O. Brockmeier, 84, passed away May 14, 2025.  He was preceded in death by his parents O.C. and Nettie Brockmeier and brother-in-law, Jim Schaaf.  He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Doris Humphries Brockmeier; sisters Julia Schaaf, Jane (Darrell) McAllister, son Michael Brockmeier.; grandchildren, Dillon (Adena) Gilbert, Julia Perrine, Jude Brockmeier, and great-grandsons Waylon Perrine, Lincoln and Ike Gilbert; niece Jill Schaaf and nephew Jimmy Schaaf.

James was born September 8, 1940 in Carrollton, Mo. He graduated Wyandotte High School in 1958. James worked for the railroad at 17 until retirement in 2002 except for two years in the army. He enjoyed watching sports, traveling and was very active in his church. His sense of humor and concern for others made him many friends.

Services will be June 14, 2025 at Kansas City Church 7700 N. Church Rd., Kansas City Mo. Visitation will be at 10:00 an followed by a Memorial Service at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers he would have desired donations to his church food pantry which he and his wife managed for 4 years.
