Sean Michael Dunn

June 21, 1983 – August 18, 2025

Sean Michael Dunn, 42, passed away on August 18, 2025. He was a beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend whose kindness and quiet strength touched everyone who knew him.

Born on June 21, 1983, Sean grew up in Kansas City, Missouri, and graduated from Archbishop O’Hara High School in 2001. He later studied at Park University in Parkville, Missouri, continuing to explore his interests and expand his knowledge. Sean was a proud veteran who served in the U.S. Navy for eight years. His dedication to service reflected the steady, humble way he approached life. He never needed much—just good company, a Royals or Chiefs game, and the occasional spirited philosophical debate.

Sean is deeply missed by his parents, Kathy and Mike Dunn; his sister Kelley and brother-in-law Ryan; his nephew Benjamin, as well as his aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends. He was a great friend, son, and brother—loyal, thoughtful, and genuine. His kind spirit and easygoing nature made him someone people were drawn to, who made the world better just by being in it.

A celebration of Sean’s life will be held at a later date. Details will be shared with friends and family in the coming days.
