Rose Mary Chandler, Age: 96
Feb 07, 1929 - Aug 25, 2025

Rose Mary Kuebler Chandler passed away on August 25, 2025, at the age of 96, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born on February 7, 1929, in Hermann, Missouri, to the late Joseph and Clara (Eggenberg) Kuebler.Mary spent her final days with close friends and family, sharing laughter, tears, and memories that will be cherished forever.

As a young woman, Mary worked as a clerk at Kroger grocery in Jefferson City, where she met her future husband, Swede, an ironworker who traveled for work. They later married and settled in Kansas City, where they built their life and raised their family.

When she wasn’t working as a property manager, Mary could be found quilting, knitting, or tending her garden. She had a true green thumb—her vegetable garden was always full, and her yard was lined with colorful flowers. She created beautiful, intricate quilts and knitted pieces that her family and friends will always treasure. Hardworking and strong-willed, Mary’s mind remained sharp until the very end, and her sense of humor will continue to live on in those who knew her.

Mary is survived by her son, Ed Chandler and wife Alice of Kansas City, Missouri; son-in-law, Kem Bryant of Liberty, Missouri; five grandchildren, Scott Chandler and wife Jennifer, Eric Chandler, Erica Ambrose and husband Matt, Kimberly Bennett and husband Stan, and Chris Bryant; 12 great-grandchildren, Bryant, Samantha (and husband Gabe), Connor, Bryson, Grace, Payton, Hailie, Brian, Brayden, Paytin, Caden, and Michael; and four great-great-grandchildren, Bennett, Briggs, Aspen, and Eden. Mary also leaves behind her cat Rusty, her constant companion for more than 10 years, whom she loved and spoiled endlessly.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence “Swede” Chandler; daughter, Jane Bryant; brothers, Leroy and Wilbert Kuebler; and sister, Frieda Schuetz.

Her love, quick wit, and strength will live on in her family and all who were fortunate to know her. Though we weren’t ready for her to go, after 96 years, we take comfort in the full life she lived and the memories she leaves behind.

A celebration of life will be held Saturday, October 11, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at Cornerstone Bible Church, 10336 NW Prairie View Road, Kansas City, Missouri.
