Ramona Lee Barlow Miller, age 87, passed away on September 19, 2025. Born on May 15, 1938, Ramona lived a life rooted in faith and service, and love for her family and community.

 

She attended NE High School in Kansas City, Missouri and Central Missouri State College, in Warrensburg, Missouri, where she fell in love with Edward Wayne Miller. They were married on August 23, 1957, and shared a devoted partnership built on mutual respect, shared values, and love.

 

Ramona is survived by two siblings: Susan Dredge Cooke of Kansas City, Missouri, and Darrell Barlow of Chillicothe, Missouri; three children: Kent Miller of Hudson, Florida, Kelly Miller of Kansas City, Missouri, and Mark Miller of Lee’s Summit, Missouri; five grandchildren: Ian, Isabel, Matthew, Mason, and Meghan; and three great-grandchildren: Ruby, Mariah, and Maggie.

 

Ramona was an active member of Blue Ridge Trinity Lutheran Church in Raytown, Missouri, and Martin Luther Lutheran Church in Lee's Summit, Missouri. Her passion for service extended into her community, where she was a longtime volunteer with Metropolitan Lutheran Ministries and the League of Women Voters. She believed deeply in the importance of civic responsibility and faith in action.

 

A memorial service celebrating Ramona's life will be held on Saturday, September 27, at 11:00 a.m. at Martin Luther Lutheran Church, 1200 SW Blue Parkway, Lee's Summit, Missouri. A reception will follow.

 

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Metropolitan Lutheran Ministries in Ramona’s honor.
