Travis Dale Bowers, Age: 54
Feb 19, 1971 - Sep 29, 2025

Travis Dale Bowers, 54, of Lees Summit, Missouri, passed away peacefully at his home on September 29, 2025 following a courageous two year battle with cancer.

He was born on February 19, 1971, in Kansas City, Kansas, to Dale and Linda Bowers. Travis was raised in Bird City, Kansas, where he developed a strong work ethic, a love for cars and motorcycles, and a faith in Christ that would guide him throughout his life.

For more than 20 years, Travis worked as a steel estimator, earning the respect of colleagues through his dedication, knowledge, and integrity. Beyond his career, he found joy in all things mechanical and had a true passion for anything that drove, floated or flew.  Travis loved to cook and trying new cuisines from across the world, and always enjoyed sharing his love for music with his girls.

Above all, Travis was devoted to his family. He was the beloved husband of Xiana, and the proud father of Brooke Prieto, Jourdan Bowers, and Chloe Bowers. And an even prouder grandpa to Jazmyn, Mateo and Marcos. He is also survived by his mother, Linda Bowers, and his sister, Karla Wright.  His love for his family was unwavering, and his presence will be deeply missed.

Travis’s faith was central to his life, and he lived as a follower of Christ, reflecting kindness and strength to all who knew him.

Travis will be remembered for his warm heart, his strong faith, and his ability to find joy in life’s simple blessings. His memory will live on in the hearts of his family and friends.

It was a great honor to watch Travis and his sister grow up as neighbors. My son John and Travis continued their friendship and I know John cherished that. Travis was a very kind soul. Prayers and condolences to his family.

I don’t have the words to express the sorrow I feel for your loss. I will miss our conversations. Especially in recent months. We talked about so many things, motor cycles, (unfortunately we never got to ride together) shooting, how much we loved our daughters and wife's…and of course our Lord. God bless you all.
