Dean Dachenhausen passed away peacefully in his home on November 24, 2025, at the age of 83. From Horton, Kansas, he spent his years embracing the beauty of life through family, friendships, travel, and valuing the things that truly mattered.

Dean was deeply loved by family and friends who appreciated his prideful, but quiet nature, unwavering reliability, and love for the finer things that life had to offer. He enjoyed traveling, a quiet morning on the porch with his newspaper, and a delicious dinner at one of his favorite neighborhood spots. He will be remembered for his simple grace with which he lived.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Glade and Bernice Dachenhausen and his partner, Tim Mulvany. He is survived by his dearly loved nieces and nephews and their families.

The family will hold a private service and asks that you celebrate Dean's life privately in your own way. We kindly invite individuals who are interested to consider making a donation to the Kansas City Starlight Theatre in Dean’s name.
