Vern Duckett, passed away peacefully at home on December 3rd,2025. He was born in Blue Jacket,  Oklahoma on March 23, 1956 to Velma and Vernie Duckett.

Vern was married to his wife Teri, for 47 years, and together they shared many wonderful memories especially their cherished trips to the ocean. He was a proud father to twins sons, Matthew and Clayton, and a loving grandfather to six grandchildren who he adored.

Vern worked for 30 years at Ball Corporation and later worked for Independence school district until 2021. He was a dedicated fan of Kansas City Royals and the Kansas City Chiefs.

Vern is survived by his by his wife, Teri, his sons, grandchildren and his brother Ron Welch. He is preceded in death by his parents and his brothers Willard Welch and Steve Duckett.

He will be remembered for his kindness, steady strength, and deep love for his family.
