Karen Elizabeth Heineman of Kansas City, Missouri, passed away on December 16, 2025, at the age of 73.

Born on January 21, 1952, Karen earned a B.A. from the University of Kansas and a Doctor of Laws from the University of Missouri–Kansas City. She worked as a Claims Analyst for the Social Security Administration, practiced law, and later embraced her entrepreneurial spirit as an antiques dealer.

Karen loved reading and cats and enjoyed connecting with people—especially through her work at flea markets, estate sales, and her travels. She looked forward to annual trips to the Tucson Gem and Mineral Show and the Las Vegas Jewelry Shows, which combined her interests in design, history, and exploration.

She is survived by her husband, Frank Joyce; her sister, Ellen Tucker; and her brother, John Heineman. She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Verla Heineman.

Karen will be remembered for her intelligence, independence, and her genuine engagement with others.
