Pamela “Pam” McFarland, age 73, passed away on February 1, 2026, in Lee’s Summit, Missouri.
She was born on November 8, 1952, in Alton, Illinois, to Margaret and George Ray. Pam had a deep love for nature and was an expert gardener with a lifelong passion for plants. She was an avid animal lover who rescued many animals throughout her life, including cats, dogs, birds, and even a duck. Pam also loved golf and spending time outdoors. She generously
volunteered at clothing boutiques serving those in need and quietly helped others whenever she could.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Margaret and George Ray; her brothers, Larry and Ronald Ray and her sister, Sandra Ray.
Pam is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Sarah and JP Tiengo; her beloved grandchildren, Olivia and Benjamin Tiengo; her brother, Gary Ray; and many loving members of her extended family.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Lawrence Country Club in Lawrence, Kansas, on Friday, February 6, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Humane Society, a local food
bank, or by simply spreading kindness wherever you go.
