Vincent (Vince) Charles Deering, Age: 66

Oct 08, 1959 - Jan 31, 2026

Vincent (Vince) Charles Deering - loving husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle and dear friend - passed away at age 66 on Saturday, January 31, 2026 after a long and hard-fought battle with cancer, at his Kansas City home.

Vince was born in St. Louis, Missouri, on October 8, 1959, to Norma Joan Frishkorn and raised by John Adam Frishkorn.

Vince served in the United States Marine Corps for three years after enlisting at 17 while in high school. He loved riding his Harley, had several tattoos, and did construction work most of his life. This all might lead you to believe that he was the ‘Mr. Tough Guy’ type, but he was as humble and kind as they come. Vince would never hesitate to help someone in need, whether he knew them or not; he simply never knew a stranger. His goofy sense of humor, silly pranks, and ‘Vince-isms’ were always sure to get a laugh. He always had a smile on his face, and he would never fail to put a smile on yours.

Vince married the love of his life, Nancy, in 1989 and together they raised their daughter, Natalie. Being a father to her was the light of his life, and he greatly cherished his time with his son-in-law, Foster. He found his greatest joy, though, in being a ‘Peepaw’ to his granddaughter, Flora.

Vince is preceded in death by his son, John Vincent Deering; his brother, Paul Deering; his father-in-law, Lawrence John, and his mother-in-law, Geraldine John.

He is survived by his wife, Nancy Deering; his daughter, Natalie Honeck and her husband, Foster; his granddaughter, Flora Honeck; his parents, Norma and John Frishkorn; his siblings, Michael Deering (Nancy, deceased), Bruce Deering (Julie), Michelle Deering, Diane Bianco (Daryl) and Kathrine Gottschall (Matthew); his nephew and namesake, Vincent Long, and many nieces, nephews and extended family members.

A celebration of life will be held on February 21, 2026, from 11am to 3pm, at Timber Creek Grill in O’Fallon, Mo. Please join us in sharing stories, photos, memories, and a beer in Vince’s honor.

Though he is gone, his family hopes to keep his legacy alive by always sharing laughter and kindness, just as he did to all those he knew.

If anyone would like to make donations in Vince’s honor, please consider the Wounded Warrior Project, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, or the University of Kansas Medical Center in appreciation for his outstanding care.
