Martha M. Hogan, Age: 68

Apr 26, 1957 - Feb 17, 2026

Martha M. Hogan (Martie), age 68, passed away on February 17, 2026, at KU Medical Center in Kansas City, Kansas, surrounded by love.

Martie was born on April 26, 1957, in Sedalia, Missouri, to Norman Carl Lange and Mary Elizabeth Lange. She is survived by her siblings Donald (Donnie) Lange, Rick Lange (Cathy Lange), Marvelee Hall (Kevin Hall), and Marlenna Lange. She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Mary Carla Allison, and her nephew Robert (Robbie) Lange.

She was the beloved wife of William E. Hogan (Bill), with whom she shared nearly 50 years of marriage, and a devoted mother to Teresa Hogan Keene (Jason Keene) and Kevin Hogan. Martie was a proud and loving grandmother to Madison Keene, Carson Keene, and Serenity Hogan, who brought her immeasurable joy.

Martie spent the majority of her professional career working in the bookkeeping and accounting department at IBC Brands, known for Wonder Bread and Hostess Cakes. During her years there, she formed close friendships that lasted a lifetime. After the company’s bankruptcy, her determination and resilience led her back to school, where she earned her associate's degree in accounting. She continued her career working in tax offices, a role well-suited to her detail-oriented nature and strong work ethic.

Above all else, Martie loved her family. She had a generous heart and a gift for caring for others, often taking on the role of a second mother to many. Throughout her life, she lovingly cared for nieces, nephews, her children’s friends, and later, her grandchildren’s friends, always welcoming one more with open arms and a smile. Her home and her heart were always open.

Martie enjoyed reading, shopping, and attending activities for her nieces and grandchildren. She especially loved watching her grandson play sports, attending school events, and going to community fairs and festivals with her family. She treasured family vacations, especially trips to the lake and Branson, creating memories that will be cherished forever. She will be remembered as a selfless and nurturing soul whose greatest joy came from taking care of the people she loved.

Her kindness, devotion to family, and quiet strength leave a lasting legacy in the lives she touched. She will be deeply missed and forever loved.

A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.
